Then you attempt to kill it within 3 seconds and fail; as soon as the boon prot saw you cast gale, pro spirit would fly up as well. Assuming you then cast orb, like you said, they would be up before you started to cast hammer. You have dealt the monk 45 damage. Congratulations; the monk is now, very, dead. /sarcasm

I was bored once and ran 3 me/e air spikers in TA with a boon monk. It was funny seeing them lol at us before getting galed down and killed before they stood up. You also bring drain enchant to remove said prot spirit once they learn to preprot.

I usually try to time the Drain to be ~0.75 seconds before the spike.

Gaze of Contempt, or Rend Enchantments if it's not in Arenas. But I don't usually spike anyways. :P

Hardly matters in TA, if you drain/gale and then spike even roughly in the same time its fine . Only 1 healer usually, after all.

Hopefully I will be dead and gone before the build being discussed in this thread makes it to TA. I suspected this was RA material and made my comment in regards to such.
